With the increase of ecological and ecological awareness, the designers started to outdo each other in their search for an ideal method of insulating buildings. Adequate protection of the house against heat loss saves money and reduces the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Residents, on the other hand, can enjoy constant thermal comfort, regardless of the season and outdoor conditions. The best insulation is achieved by eliminating thermal bridges in the insulation layer – such a solution is offered by PUR insulating foam.
Insulation shower – how does it work and what are the effects?
This method allows the application of an insulating layer directly on the wall of a building or other insulated surface. This means that the foam forms a uniform, even layer without any gaps and without the use of a binder between them. As a result, no thermal bridges are formed that could allow air to enter. Foam forms a solid but not too thick layer – up to twice as thin as traditional foamed polystyrene. Then it solidifies, gaining high strength. It protects the building from sunlight, some mechanical damage and, of course, from cooling. A building insulated in this way only requires energy to be supplied for heating – then it maintains a constant temperature without requiring further, large expenditures. The insulation adheres to any surface, creating excellent adhesion.
Advantages of PUR foam
– Space saving – the foam layer is twice as thin as the foam layer needed to achieve the same effect.
– Greater efficiency – elimination of thermal bridges (related to joints of individual insulation elements, which do not occur here) allows to retain heat to a greater extent than traditional methods of insulation.
– Additional water insulation and exterior noise reduction.
– Resistance to the passage of time and many of the solvents used in households and construction sites.
Benefits of robust insulation
First of all, you can save a lot of money, especially during the heating season. It’s a very simple bill – a building that doesn’t lose heat, doesn’t cool down. Thanks to this, you can use much less heating fuels.
Secondly, solid insulation is followed by measurable benefits for the environment. The combustion of coal, gas and, in fact, any other fuel causes the emission of greenhouse gases, which has a real impact on the state of the atmosphere and the quality of life. Environmental awareness requires this to be taken into account when building or renovating a building.
