This is how selective modulators of the androgen receptor were isolated. Ligandrol (LGD-4033) is among the best studied and most commonly used ones. The studies proved its efficiency compared to placebo. Moreover, it is believed to be the strongest compound of this group. Also popular is ibutamorene – MK-677. It is an analogue of ghrelin and causes increased secretion of growth hormone by the anterior pituitary lobe.
