Maybe it won’t be long before the evening walk in the city or park that the lamps will not be the source of light, but the path we follow. All thanks to the innovative design of the British company – the darkly lit road called Starpath.
British company Pro-Teq has developed a darkly lit road surface called Starpath that can be used on virtually any type of pavement. To put it quite simply, it all consists of covering the asphalt with a waterproof photoluminescent spray that absorbs the sun’s rays during the day to create a luminous glow when darkness falls. Additionally, the splashed liquid has anti-slip properties.
The technology was first used at Christ’s Pieces Park in Cambridge. In 30 minutes, an area of 150 m2 was covered, which was ready to use after four hours.
